The amazing thing about the Christian music community is that there are neverending ways to find, listen, and share new artists you enjoy. Whether you hear them on the radio, stream them on Spotify, or watch their music videos on YouTube, it’s hard not to find an artist you like listening to.
Today we’re talking about some new and popular contemporary Christian artists that are rising in the music ranks.
1. So Good – DOE
DOE’s latest album Clarity released February 18th of this year is refreshingly full of clear, inspiring, and hopeful lyrics. She’s a three-time GRAMMY nominated gospel singer, and her new worship songs show off her amazing musical talent.
Her song So Good is quickly becoming one of the top christian songs this week. It’s bright, cheerful, and definitely a song you want to listen to start your day on the right note.
2. House Of The Lord – Phil Wickham
Phil Wickham is no stranger to those in Christian music circles. He’s a contemporary Christian singer/songwriter who specializes in producing faith-based rock music. He’s one of the top christian artists on Spotify with a whopping 2 million monthly listeners!
His song House Of The Lord was released in June 2021 on the album Hymn Of Heaven and still continues to rise in the charts week over week. The chorus is spirited and lively, something listeners can definitely connect with.
3. Truth Be Told – Matthew West
Starting as a songwriter for the likes of Rascal Flatts and Billy Ray Cirus, Matthew West is now one of the top male Christian artists of today. He has some of the most popular worship songs across most music streaming platforms, many of his top songs have over 20 million streams each!
Truth Be Told is an honest song about admitting when you’re not okay. It’s vulnerable and the lyrics are very relatable to many listeners.
4. Church (Take Me Back) – Cochren & Co.
Cochren & Co. is led by Michael Cochren who is a relatively new male Christian singer to step onto the gospel and faith-based music scene.
Church (Take Me Back) comes off his 2021 album Don’t Lose Hope, and shares spirited and encouraging lyrics of a low point in life and finding faith to bring your spirit back.
