Brian Overton is a lifelong fan of the Marvel Universe. More than just a collection of movies, TV shows and comics, Marvel is a source of inspiration to Overton.
Marvel Comics
Brian Overton was given his first-ever Marvel comic book when he was just a kid. He has been an avid collector of comic books ever since! Over the years, his collection has expanded with gems from series like The Amazing Spider-Man, King Conan and Guardians of the Galaxy. As a kid, Overton would truly ‘marvel’ over the amazing details, stories and characters in his comics. Following along in their adventures inspired him to not only do big things in life, but to set importance on helping others. Because underneath the fantasy and excitement of Marvel stories, that’s what’s at the core of each story: being helpful and kind. Overton’s first introduction to the Marvel Universe was through comic books; and with the size of his collection, it truly shows! In the future, he hopes to share a comic book collection showcase, featuring his all-time favorite Marvel comic books — including the series and issues he hopes to collect.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Like many other Marvel fans, Brian Overton eagerly awaits the release of new superhero movies every single year. And with how popular the Marvel Universe has become over the years, Overton’s in luck, because there’s almost always a new film out in theaters! His favorites include the movie that started it all: Iron Man (2008) — mostly because Iron Man is his favorite character! While some Marvel characters feel larger than life and out of this world (which they often are), Iron Man has a sort of reality surrounding him. Will there ever be a real Iron Man? Of course, probably not! But his almost realistic and very much human presence in the films makes for a character that Overton both connects with and feels inspired by in the real world.
